Praise His Holy Name
Have you ever attended a Prayer Meeting or Prayer Group? Our Parishes have a wonderful opportunity for members to come together in prayer to sing, praise, read scripture, and pray for others every month!
Praise His Holy Name is a prayer group is a faith community that welcomes all people to worship God in song, pray the scriptures, and intercede for others. The Praise His Holy Name (PHHN) meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday evening of the month at 7:00 PM upstairs at St. Anthony’s School for approximately one hour. The format for this prayer gathering includes:
Praise and Worship
Scripture Sharing
Intercessory Prayer
Songs of Worship
Time is available afterward for prayer teams to also pray with individuals wanting individual prayer. Facilitators for PHHN are Brenda Knaus, Karen Knoerzer, and David Witt, who also leads our music worship.
Our gatherings are open to receiving the Charismatic gifts, the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We are encouraged by our Holy Father, Pope Francis and his comments about the Charismatic Renewal - “a current of grace in the church and for the church.” Catholic Online
If you have any questions, please contact the parish office or any of the facilitators either at church or by phone. Our group looks forward to sharing our Catholic faith in a relaxed and spirit filled environment!
Charismatic Prayer groups affiliated with the DCRC (Diocesan Charismatic Renewal Center) are under the spiritual direction of the bishop in their diocese, and in full accord with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. DCRC Website.
